Think Pink Week

Melissa from A Working Mom's Closet had the great idea

of creating awareness in our blogs by
wearing something pink everyday for:
October, the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This week I will be joining her:

I will be not only be wearing something pink everyday this week but,
will tell you about people in my life that unfortunately have
been touched by cancer.
Green leather bag vintage - Grey skirt Casual - Black flats Kenneth Cole - Pink cardigan

A very close friend from high school, he was 21 at the time,
was diagnosed with cancer.
I could not believe it at first as the was well into sports and
was the one who always picked on me for eating junk food.
He took very good care of himself, he would chew on carrots for lunch,
while I chomped on my M&M's.
I learned of his condition after he had gone through the entire
process of hospitalization, chemotherapy and recovery.
For me that was the worst part, learning that he had been through that.
I wish I had known he was sick so I could have at least offered comfort
and an occasional joke.
He was the only person that no matter what, could always make me laugh.
Thank heavens he is still around (although not as much as I would like him to be)
 and is cancer free.

Think Pink: It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
