Although it was too dark when I got there, I could not resist taking pictures in front of the American Trade Hotel. The white building, originally conceived a 100 years ago by one of my fave architects, was first a department store and bank. Then, came its downfall (when it was a gang's hideout) then it rose back to glory when the hotel opened... only to prove there's always possibility.
The first picture above is in front of its main entrance and if you look up, this is what the building looks like here today.

Buildings with history are the best - sounds like this one has a pretty rich one, making it a great backdrop for photos, regardless of the lighting! And, side note, I really love your flats. I'm a sucker for a cap toe.

Love the combination of those shoes and top together! :) Nice and shimmery! I'm sure the flash accentuates that too, haha.
It sounds like such an interesting piece of history that hotel has had! I can't think of any buildings in BRisbane that are like that, although I'm sure there are some. They did find some interesting archeological things when renovating town hall recently, btu things like that are more an exception.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend :) Cold and wet here, a bit unexpected after our warm week!
