On the shoulder

White pleated skirt Zara - almost identical here and here - Black turtle neck sweater Pierri New York, similar here

Grey pumps United Nude - similar in same color here , other fun styles from this brand here and here 


Some outfits have the power to make you feel good. This was one of them. 
Today I thought I'd give this 2013 look a spin by adding two flower brooches on the shoulder, continuing with my pin saga. Decided to seal the look by adding some unusual shoes and got an outfit that took me from very early meetings to late night ones...

    This post made me smile too, not just because it's a nice outfit (which it is!) but because this is the second blog post I've read tonight about a white skirt and it's making me think about how much I'm missing an old white skirt. I hardly ever wore it, but maybe I need to look into getting a replacement when my no-shop is over!

    Fabulous shoes! I love brooches at the shoulder - have you ever seen the (very 80s) leopard brooches that are hinged to look like they are draped over the shoulder? I've been looking for one at the various vintage fairs for years - they're rather pricey and I won't pay more than $30 for one.
