I wear matching items together all the time.
Meaning that if the skirt and shirt are the same
print, are a set, I will always pair them together.
Vintage pleated peppermint skirt Liz Claiborne |
Today I thought I'd wear this skirt, which
is part of a vintage set with a jean shirt.
Blue jean button down shirt Tommy Hilfiger |
The skirt was actually a garment I had given up on.
Don't get rid of that denim top! It's always a classic staple and pairs well with many things.

I wore a very similar outfit about a month ago (didn't photograh it, unfortunately). I think this outfit is lovely and that you should keep both pieces, even if you only ever wear them with each other!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of vintage dressing, too, so you know I'm loving your last few posts! It's great to have a set that looks like a dress, when worn together, and can get extra milage as separates, also. Love the outfit in your last post, with the 60's modern print skirt. Lucky you, to find these treasures!
ReplyDeleteI love your blouse! :)

I really like them both together! I think the denim shirt is a real classic, maybe give it another go in another outfit before you decide? If it's not a classic for you no point in keeping it I think, no matter how much others may love it! :)

Definitely don't give either one away! That skirt is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love these together!
ReplyDeletei think it is a pretty cute combo. i think the skirt would also look great with a simple black sleeveless top.
ReplyDeleteMajor keeps to both, IMO. They look spectacular together! (Not to mention perfect for celebrating in spirit with America come the 4th of July.)

I remembered it as soon as I saw it. I'm so happy you decided to keep it! So may outfit options for the skirt and for the shirt by themselves.
