Specially when I visit old buildings.

Today, after a productive work day
we attended the launch of a jewellery collection.
No time to change, so the above turned into the below.

Just flipped shoes and bag.
The home the venue was held in is from 1925,
which translates to chandeliers, hand painted floors,
mosaics, tall ceilings and impeccable woodwork.
Whenever I see places like this I can only wonder who the
original owners were and what their lives were like.
I also imagine what it would be like to live there.
In 1925.
What a fun print on that skirt!!! And I love that building, historic places are always so fun to explore

I agree, It would be so fun to get to go back and see how everything was even just 100 years ago! Especially since these days everything is created to become obsolete. Will any of the buildings they build now even last 100 years?

That house is utterly lovely. Things I love about that era - that things seemed simpler and calmer. Things I don't love - not a lot of social justice.

Such a gorgeous home. The intricate tile floors alone are stunning, as I'm sure the rest of this vintage verging on antique abode is as well.
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone there in the slightest. I do the same thing, too, with vintage buildings/houses and more often than not, items as well. The lives of vintage pieces before they reach us (or we reach them, as the case may be) has always fascinated me immensely and is no small part of the over all allure of vintage for me.
