This is such a simple look that works every time- no wonder bloggers go gaga for it. You can always turn on the glam with a sparkly statement necklace or a structured jacket. You mentioned that you have a cape with tags on- try skinny jeans or leggings with a heel. A flared top (or cape) needs to balance out with something structured at the bottom.
