I have been meaning to write a post about vintage shopping in Buenos Aires, Argentina. However its been two months and I have yet to start that post.
So I'll share just one of the most amazing places I have visited when it comes to second hand shopping and let me tell you I have been around.
It's on Santa Fe 1243, in the heart of Buenos Aires, it's called La Boutique de La Casa del Teatro. This gem holds a marvelous selection of donated goods that are impeccably displayed. From vintage formal beaded gowns to three piece suits for gentlemen, leather hand bags, poly dresses, costume jewelry, just imagine. The garments come from the closets of local artists, tv show hosts and actors. The best part is that the profit made from these sells go to fund a small home for retired artists that have contributed to Argentina's cultural identity.
Oh and by the way, this is the place where I purchased the dress I am wearing today, which has been sold and is now in a marvelous new home !
