My rules on wearing short dresses

If I really want to wear a dress that I consider too
short, some rules will usually apply.

White lace dress Holy Codi Studio - Flats Fabrizio Gianni - Venezia Bag - Teal sunglasses Kenneth Cole Reaction
These rules are quite simple:

1. Wear tights, usually similar to the colour of the dress.
2- Avoid belts, as these will tend to make the dress slightly shorter.
3. Wear flats, it reduces attention to the lower part of your body.
4. Wear a bag that is "hand carried" instead of "shoulder carried",
that way your dress won't ride up ;)
Try it, you'll see the difference.

Any additional tips ?

Such a cute LWD! I usually agree, if i'm going short, belts are bad, flats are good, and tights work if it's winter. Also this winter (well, technically spring) I paired OTK boots with shorter skirts and I enjoyed that balance.

and I totally get you on the shoulder bag, because sometimes the bag can cause the dress to ride up!

That is a lovely white dress! :) Nice for summer!

I agree, if a skirt length is shorter I tend to go for flats. Although I tend to go with flats most of the time now with my knee injury, haha!

It's tights - dark, opaque tights - all the way for me, but really, I haven't worn a short dress in so many years now, because I just feel so out of my comfort/personal modesty zone in them, that I'm a little rusty on styling them. :)

I think this white one is gorgeous and not super shorty. You have great legs and a pretty hemline like that one really plays up that fact, dear Lorena.
