Brioni vest

Vintage vest repurposed Brioni blazer - Black trousers Gap

Khaki turtle neck sweater Cortefiel - Black flats Gap

Vintage hand bag Céline

About two years ago I went to Buenos Aires for one of my last work trips.
While there I stayed for a few more days and decided to shop the city's marvelous second hand shops.

One of the items I bought was this Brioni vintage vest, repurposed from a men's jacket.

I loved it and the fabric and all the details however when wearing it I felt the frame was too big for me and it felt bulky.

So yes, on its first wear after hanging in the closet for 2 years, I have come to realize it may just not be a keeper.

Yip, it looks bulky on your frame to me too. I love the colour scheme of your outfit though. Lise

It is a beautiful vest it's a shame it's not a bit more fitted - but I find vests hard to wear and style in general so it wouldn't be a keeper for me for that alone, haha!

Hope you are having a good week :) The rain has finally stopped here which is great, luckily we didn't have any flooding here.

I'm glad it's gone to a new home!

I have slowly been doing some much needed editing from my closet, too. It's so much fun to play with new silhouettes! Also satisfying to edit with certainty after you have tried them out different ways. Happy to know this great vest is going to a good new home. Hope you are well and the renovation of your new home is going well.

Fabulous marriage of brown and black pieces. I've never bought into the outdated concept that the two should be kept separate in one's outfits.
