Things that fell apart

Blue trousers BCBG - Striped sweater Beulah - Burgundy flats French Soles - Bee hand bag (in transit)

During these months of hibernation a lot of things began to fall apart in my closet.

Mostly shoes, in fact I am editing several of them due to this and took 4 pairs to be repaired and have yet to make another trip to get a few more fixed.

How about you? Did your shoes take a toll in this lockdown?

My shoes have held up well - I haven't stopped wearing any of them, but I have culled some that were just too high. I doubt I will wear them again, but they're in the giveaway pile (behind the secret door) if I feel like I need to dig them out again!

You have the disadvantage of the humidity, which wreaks havoc on your shoes. That sucks!

Thanks so much for all the comments, Lorena - lovely to hear from you. Big hugs!

I had a pair of boots fall apart after a particularly heatwave filled summer, I didn't find out until I pulled them out that winter! But I haven't noticed anything falling apart recently - our new house is much better at keeping cool as we built it with heatwaves in mind so hopefully my wardrobe stays intact! and my bags are locked away in a cupboard so they stay cool, haha!

Love the ruffles on your top :)

Hope that you are having a great week! :) We are looking forward to having a picnic today, making the most of the warm weather :)

Isn't it fascinating what time will erode if left to its own devices? Thankfully, my shoes are holding up fine, but I had two frequently worn belts bite the dust in 2020 and will certainly miss them (especially since my pesky nickel allergy makes finding "safe" belts that are within my price range quite the challenge at times).

This is such a classic, wonderful navy and white outfit. These colours look awesomely at home on you, dear Lorena.

Cute outfit, Lorena! I haven't worn very many shoes at all this past year except to take photos so all have held up fine! Thanks for linking!
