I have been wearing jewellery all my life. My ears were pierced when I was born and that's where it all began. I feel like I am missing something if I am not wearing earrings and if I forget to wear my rings I will be touching my fingers all day long. I feel naked without them.
So it was a no brainer when I had the opportunity to assist a jewellery appreciation course at a local antiques and jewellery store.
We talked about gold, silver, rhodium, diamonds, rubies, amethysts. Cuts, karats, colours. Victorian, vintage, art deco.
What's you're take on jewellery? Yay or nay?

I think you know my take on this! I wear 4 rings all the time (I only take them off when I shower), always add more during the day. I also always have 5 earrings in at all times, and never take them out. I'd feel naked without wearing a pair of earrings in my lowest holes.

ReplyDeleteI love jewelry, although I don't wear it as much as I used to, partly because I need things that are safe around the kids!
With your comment on my blog about the handbags - I usually have pretty popular styles so it's easy to look up and see what they are selling for. If it's rarer or more expensive I'll probably consign it - they know the market well and can often get a good price :)

Love this dress and your fantastic Amethyst ring! The Jewelry appreciation class sounds like a lot of fun. I am not an aficionado, but I think jewelry is a great accessory that can really elevate a look!
