Way back at the beginning of the blog I went through a "rust phase". I bought anything that came across my path that was rust toned. Now almost everything from that phase is long gone, so when I came across this long rust shade cardigan from the Loft I thought it would be a good addition to my closet.
The difference between today and those days is that today I bought it because I liked it and not because it was "on trend".
How about you? Was your last item purchased because it was "on trend" or because you genuinely liked it?
I don't buy anything because it's on trend. If I do, it's highly likely I didn't know it was trendy! I have a rust cardi too! We're twins! ;-P
ReplyDeleteThe last thing I bought was a very on-trend logo tee but I bought it because I loved it, so I'm not sure what category that is, haha! I think the rust is a lovely colour on you, so I can see why you picked this up :)

When I buy things, I really try to do it because I love them. Because if I love them then I know I will wear them and not let them sit in my closet and be a waste of money. I love how the rust and mint color go together! That is a color pairing I wouldn't have thought of!
ReplyDeleteThe rust cardigan is a classic, and you will probably find lots of ways to incorporate it into your wardrobe. I enjoy trending watching, but a lot of trends come and go that I know are not for me. When styles do come back around that I like, I take the opportunity to make purchases while there is a lot of variety available! Hope you have a great week!
