Behind the scenes during a work related event, where I wore one of my favourite fabrics: brocade or as we say in Spanish "brocado". Which is your favourite fabric when it comes to clothes ?

  1. I always love brocade in clothing! And this is such a lovely outfit combo and location for a quick photo shoot.

  2. Wow, what a gorgeous place for a photo shoot!

I am loving this blouse - and I can tell you are too! I'm not as big of a fan of the skirt (although I ADORE brocades), because it reads in photos as a muddy-looking beige, even though I can see in the close-ups that it's a multi-coloured pattern. I have gotten rid of things that don't photograph well (mostly small prints) - sometimes they look great in person, but the texture/pattern/colours don't work in photos.

Thanks for your question about my highest cost-per-wear! In case you don't see my reply to your comment, right now it's my custom-made dress! It will take a long time to get that CPW down! Aside from that, I've had a few pairs of Fluevogs that were duds - they just didn't work out, so I gave them away or consigned them (used to do that sometimes). I also have a couple of fancy items that were expensive but that I rarely wear - example, I have a beautiful chartreuse green velvet cape (lined in black satin) that I bought for around $250 20+ years ago - I don't know if I've even worn it on the blog! I showed it here in 2010: https://sheilaephemera.blogspot.ca/2010/05/never-seen-outerwear.html

  7. I really like these pieces together but I have to say that stunning location is what I noticed first, it's an incredible house! Or hotel? Either way it's a lovely spot for photos!

I have a fondness for viscose and I am more likely to buy something if it's made of that (makes for the comfiest shorts and kimonos) but I think denim is my most worn and loved! :)

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far :)

  9. Dear Lorena, this is a difficult question! I know for sure I love leather and cashmere but there are a few materials I love, too! Your skirt is simply a dream piece and brocade suits you so well.

  20. I love brocades, though I don't have too many left in my closet at this point. I do think there is still and elephant skirt though...
This looks like a fabulous spot for outfit photos - I'd want to take mine there all the time!
