I am the first to admit this outfit did not work. Proportions were off, trousers looked slouchy and the layering was inadequate. While I could have chosen not to post, I chose to, because the idea is to keep this blog real and, come on, really: it's just my every day wear.

You are being hard on yourself! I love the colors together, especially the way you've worn them. I just got a red blazer and was unsure about it, but you are really inspiring me with the white and black!

ReplyDeleteWhenever I have an outfit I don't like - unless I REALLY hate it - I never say so on the blog. I like to see what people who are more objective about it say first - sometimes, it's just my own feeling of not being comfortable, or being annoyed by an item, that gets in the way of my overall perception of it.

Oh I have days like this all the time. I put something on or together and realize how it so does not work, and seeing photos of myself in certain clothes then I realize how it is SO NOT working. I had a pair of trousers that I say myself in and was shocked at how bad they looked on me. It was bad and I just did not see it when looking in the mirror at the store, or not as clearly. LOL

I had a similar red topper at one point, and I can promise you things I paired it with were much, much worse than this look. I always like black and white with a splash of red.
