Wearing what you are wearing

Black pull up jeans Levis here - Zebra print tee shirt similar here - Purple bag Coach similar here  -
Black patent shoes Zara similar here

Maybe I have told you this story before, but a few years ago I was at a cocktail at a local museum. Stopped to greet someone and when I lay my eyes on her, she was wearing a beautiful printed dress I had seen earlier at Zara for over 100.00 USD. As I spoke to her I saw someone behind her looking at a painting wearing the exact same dress. I said nothing and went on mingling.
How often have you seen or run into someone wearing what you are wearing ? or seen someone else wear a garment you have ? Maybe see someone wearing an item you saw in a particular store or store window ? What do you think when that happens ?

That happens so rarely with me - most of my clothes are vintage or second-hand or thrifted, so it would be shock if I saw someone wearing the same thing! I think we would bond over it!

It doesn't happen that often to me but I actually sort of enjoy it when it does - mostly because I like seeing how other people have styled their pieces and it gives me ideas. That's actually one of the things I find really fun about reading blogs - I love seeing other people with similar pieces to me and getting a sense of how they style things.

Yes that is the down side to places like Zara which is sooooooo big, that exact problem. I think Zara is good for pieces as opposed to dresses and coats. And by the way you look fab!

Can you believe that is rare for me! LOL But I keep clothes for the longest so that may be the reason.

Usually if I didn't buy the piece, I would run to the closest store to get it! :D

I have to admit that I do this rarely :) But you inspired me to do this more often! Like the outfit with the print!
Merry Christmas!

That used to happen to me in high school and I was so embarrassed but it hasn't happened for years! Now I would just laugh it off!

I think you did the right thing not drawing attention to it! It's never happened to me but my sister and I will frequently both buy things when we are apart and then when we meet up we will have a giggle when we talk about our latest shopping trip and realise we've both bought the same thing! So far we haven't accidentally worn the matching items on the same day.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas :)

Yo tengo suerte, nunca me ha pasado porque mi madre me hace mucha ropa y esas prendas son únicas, pero si lo he visto en otras personas y da mucha rabia.

Te dejo mi nuevo post, una falda muy especial. Espero que te guste

Shockingly this has never really happened to me either. I trend to thrift a lot or wear my things for a very long time.

I hasn't happened in years to me but I think if it does now I think I'd be interested to see how the other person styled it. Love, Kirsten x

Well if it's between my sister and I, it happens all the time. usually unintentionally, but then we aren't about to change. I do kind of like it if I pass by a stranger who is wearing something I own, especially if I know it's really old.

And how cute is your zebra tee?!
