A signature style

Grey and yellow shoes Kelsi Daegger - Jean skirt Zara - Yellow blouse LuckyCom
Over and over I keep reading it: one must have a signature style. You know, what the crisp white shirt is for Carolina Herrera, what Breton stripes are to Gaultier, what a black turtle neck sweater and jeans were to Steve Jobs. As said in a previous post as far as I can recognise one of my "signature styles" are sunglasses.
I had a friend comment that she also associated "elegant flats, vibrant hued tops and black trousers" with my style.
Looking at today's outfit I can say that a vibrant hue top is involved, so maybe yes, it is part of that signature I read so much about..

I see elegant flats in this look, too! I love how they match your gorgeous top. And, like you, I live in my sunglasses. My favorite accessory by far.

Why MUST one have a signature style?? Why can't we play with our image? Why do we have to settle into one look and never vary?

With you, I think of: chic, colourful, fun, experimental. Nothing specific - I've watched your style change over the years, and I think that is just fine. We aren't the same people from year to year, so why should I clothing style stay the same?

I love everything about this outfit - it's wonderful on you! Your friend is right you do have a lot of bright tops and a great collection of shoes, but you do mix things up and it always seems fresh and different :)

This post just makes me want a denim skirt even more too!

Hope you're having a fantastic week :)

You're such a dear, Lorena! :)

Wonderful outfit! I practically need yellow in my life (and wardrobe!) come this time of the year, as summer's sunshine jets off to the other side of the planet. Good thing we get a generous dose of it through many of the trees that change colours for autumn around these parts.

Big hugs,
♥ Jessica

While I kind of like the idea of having one signature item, like your sunglasses, I can't see adopting a single look with only subtle variations. It's fun to play around with color and trends, part of me wants to be preppy, part city chic, part bohemian, and part of me wants to copy this outfit right now, but I think I've actually purged all my yellow tops!

Your style is excellent! I could see flats with this look and trousers would look good with blouse.
