Sometimes when I am ready to let a garment go, I try again. Maybe I was having a bad day or just did not style it correctly.
Maybe there was something I missed. All of this in hopes of changing my mind.. But all along, I usually know that after than second time around its out the door.
Dear Lorena, sounds like you know very well which pieces are allowed to stay in your closet and which pieces must go :) Nevertheless I like it how you combined the pieces together here!

ReplyDeleteI wore the cutest top yesterday -- wearing it for the second time. After running around in the heat I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and noticed IT WAS NOT FLATTERING. Which is a shame. The top IS really cute, just not on me. :[ Or maybe it was the skirt that I paired with it? Maybe I'll try one more time before giving it away!

Yes! I'm precisely the same way. I also find that garments - much like one's hair on the night before you're set to really change it in some way such as cut or colour - tend to suddenly, as if by magic, look more flattering in their 11th hour. No doubt such is usually psychological, but still, it's a neat little phenomena and sometimes can be enough to help a piece stick around a while longer.
