As much as I love vintage, I
must admit that sometimes it's
difficult incorporating the pieces
into my every day wear.

That is very true. Some times I think it's best to just approach vintage with denim :)

Ooh, I love these together - I think you look fabulous! I would totally wear this outfit (with orange shoes!).
ReplyDeleteI actually really like the brightness of the pieces together! :)
ReplyDeleteI had a few vintage pieces in my wardrobe I found hard to wear so I ended up donating them - now I only have a handful, but they are pieces I enjoy wearing and find easy to fit in with my usual outfits so I'm happy :)

Sometimes there is not good clue to fit colors, top and down, so literaly. In the case of such colors the good idea is to "extinquish" strong color another color. I would to use different top. Dark, Brown or very dark navy blue blouse with ruffles etc. This skirt is fine but it is dominant and it need some "background"
ReplyDeleteBoth pieces have strong personalities which clash. Other than that it's a very nice outfit full of character. I would tone down the vintage blouse with a pair of jeans.
ReplyDeleteWow!! You look so classy <33

I like the combination but if you are not used to bold prints and colors it does take time to get used to. I think your overall look is vibrant and sophisticated.

Ahhhh!!! Este me encanta! Amé la blusa y su color!
ReplyDeletevery, very true. vintage has so much character, but yes, sometimes it can look dated. mixing and matching with contemporary stuff sometimes works. i feel this way about furniture/home decor too.
ReplyDeletei love the skirt -- great colors and very, very cute!!!
