Go to gifts..

For specific celebrations,
I have "go-to-gifts".

Black dress Diane von Furstenberg - Black flats Sam Edelman - Grey bag
For example, if a child is born,
or a Christening is coming up…

The odds are I will be buying perfume.

Something light, delicate, with no alcohol content.
I've found that it's something most
people do not give.

For bridal showers, its always a card with cash.
I've seen the most absurd things being given as a gift
for a bride to be - I  mean, really you're starting a new life..
why would you want Post its ?

How about you ?

What are your go-to-gifts ?

Well people here usually have registries so I get something off of that and maybe add in something fun.
(yea, I have 2 pairs of rain boots, both were free...otherwise I would have none)

That is such a thoughtful gift to give a new mom. It focuses on her, can be worn regardless of what size she is at the moment, and is a definite luxury. Thank you for sharing this great idea with us. I'm going to "borrow" it in the future.

Lovely outfit! That necklace is really charming! It reminds me, in the best kind of way, of Girl Guide camp crafts (I was a passionate Girl Guide in my youth and adored craft time sooo much!).

Ohh I would never think about perfume! I always felt it was such a personal thing to find a scent. But perhaps it's because my mom and I are the two most picky and smell-sensitive people that we each only have one perfume we ever wear.

For showers I just stick to the registry. Christenings - savings bonds. They are sort of a dying thing, but I think they are still cool.
