The grounds at Hotel Nacional

Before heading out to work this morning
I got up a little earlier just so I could explore
the hotel grounds.

Black and white Desigual dress - Black patent shoes Zara

I walked in the shadow of the tall trees.

Crossed lush green gardens, roamed the old halls,
stopped to gaze at the ocean and feel the wind.

Played with the friendly and majestic peacocks.

Overall admired the building structure.

I have to admit that when having to chose
from a the usual modern hotel chain to one that
is almost a hundred years old…

I will always chose the latter.

My love, admiration and appreciation of old things transcends antiques
and vintage garments.

Its the constant search of the soul in things, in places…

I certainly found a soul here.

How mangificent that there are free roaming peacocks on the grounds of this gorgeous hotel. I adore peacocks so much!

I hope that you're having a great work trip, dear Lorena. Thank you very much for your wonderfully nice comment on my latest outfit post. It's hard to believe that that is the second to last one I have about the island. The final one will be appearing in early March. It's okay though, by then we should start to slowly be working our way towards spring and better weather so I can get out and shoot some new outfit photos to blog about from spring onward.

Oh yes, that hotel looks just so amazing! I will admit, I appreciate modern times and technology and having an iPhone charger in my room, but that could never compare with the beauty and charm of a building that old and full of hosiery and character. Plus there are peacocks roaming around. How cool.
