Ripped off

I try to think of myself as a savvy shopper.

Olive, brown and grey dress Forever 21
One who finds good quality items at superb prices.

Grey flats Zara - Purple bag Coach
So, you can imagine how I feel when I recently found out
after a trip to the jeweller that a vintage bracelet I had
purchased at an antique shop in Argentina
was steel coated gold…

Vintage Invicta watch and bracelet
and not what I was told by the seller.
Yeah, this is my rip off.

I hate when people aren't honest about products. So sorry that happened to you. LOVE your dress Lorena. The side detail and sleeves are so gorgeous.

Such a cute dress, and a pretty bracelet! It's a shame it's not what you expected! Antiques can be tricky :( What a bad experience for you :(

The side bow is fabulous! Partnered with the drop waist and overall cut of this elegant dress, it gives the garment such a great 1920s vibe (which looks stellar on you, BTW).

I loved your blog comment today and wish we could indeed go on a holiday together. How super fun would that be?! :)

Big hugs & joyful weekend wishes,

i have been ripped off before too. i don't think you can trust anything someone says at a swap meet, at a thrift shop, at a pawn shop, or at an antique shop. most seem willing to lie or come up with a bullshit story just to make the sale. bleh!
