The Plaza

The 24 de Septiembre plaza in Santa Cruz.

Blue trousers Jones New York - Red blouse Forever 21 - Black flats Jessica Simpson - Pearl necklace Zara
Behind me the Basilica of San Lorenzo.

While walking through this plaza, the most amazing thing happened.

We saw an older gentleman with an antique camera.

He was taking pictures which he developed right there on
the plaza in his own dark room - inside the camera.

His father who was a photographer built the camera for him 60 years ago.

He works at the plaza taking pictures of locals and foreigners.

He has a hard time finding paper to develop his prints because the
paper is no longer made - so he uses old photograph paper
he buys from old photographers' stock, which is hard to come by.

I was solo amazed !
and yes, we took a picture - it was surreal, like
photographing the present with a past object.

What an amazing photographer! It is a shame so much of the film and old darkroom ways are becoming extinct.

Love this bright blouse and your fun pearl necklace!
