On a plane

I usually travel in jeans and a jacket.
Not today.

H&M houndstooth trousers - MNG Mango black bow tie top - Vera Wang Lavender black shoes - Michael Kors black bag

I decided to go for something a bit different, mostly because
all of my jackets are tight.

It's not the best reason, but it is the real reason.
I am getting on a plane for a 6 hour flight for work
and comfort was my main goal - well that, and looking presentable.

What is your go to outfit for traveling ?

  1. either a loose dress with leggings or jeans and a comfy top with a scarf.

if it's a long flight, then one of those cammis with a built in "bra" and a really, really loose top.

like you say, comfort is key.

  2. Those houndtooth pants on you are wonderful. You have that gamine look down with the flats and black top. Love it.

    Safe travels!

  3. this is a fine look for traveling. I often wear jeans and athletic shoes when flying--not very sharp.

  4. I only really travel for pleasure rather than work. But last year I wore a maxi dress with denim shirt over for the flight out from the cold UK and took off the shirt when I lands in balmy Barcelona.

  5. This is such a professional look for travelling! I hope you have a good trip :) I'm usually a lot more casual, but I don't fly for work often.

  11. First of all, I love that you have a Container Store bag in the background. I had no idea they were international.

I always travel in jeans and a hoodie. I am most comfortable that way, but I am now thinking that maybe yoga pants would be even more comfy.

  12. Depending on the weather. If it is cold out I usually do thick leggings or skinny jeans tucked into tall riding-style boots, with a long, breezy tee and a flyaway cardigan over and maybe a cute scarf. If it is spring, I may do jeans and ballet flats or mocassins, with a light long-sleeve sweater or a tee and a blazer over. If it is summer I am usually in shorts or capri pants with a cute t-shirt and sandals or peep-toe flats.

Wishing your trip is going well and I am so jealous you get to travel to some colder-weather places, now. This summer has gotten on my last nerve. It has been way too hot.
