I think they are meant for exercise not for everyday wear.
Not even commutes. There are comfortable shoes out
there that don't make you look like an astronaut.
Even though I dislike them, I have a pair or actually two.
AND I wore them today...
what are your thoughts on sneakers ?

I agree with you that wearing ordinary sneakers is lazy. However, wearing NICE sneakers can be a fashion statement. The ones you're wearing are cute.
ReplyDeleteI don't buy ordinary sneakers but I have two special pairs, made by Vans. They've very stylish. My favorite, a two-tone in bright royal blue, were on my feet when Robin and I went into a fancy restaurant last month. The young woman seating us spotted them and exclaimed, "Oh wow! Are those Vans?! You must be the coolest guy in the restaurant!"

ReplyDeleteActually an hour ago I bought a pair of converse sneakers and I will make a post soon. Other than that they are a bit tricky to wear but many women can pull the look.I think you have a great blog.

ReplyDeletei don't wear sneakers very often. mostly to work out. but if i had these and this outfit, i surely would pair them as you did!
For the most part, I think sneakers are for the gym. However, there are a few exceptions. Converse or similar styles can be cute with the right outfit. You're rocking this adorable pair!!
ReplyDeleteI have a pair of Converse, and while I don't wear them a lot, they're perfect for certain outfits, and especially when I'm going somewhere where I'll be walking in dirt or gravel, like my boys' soccer games. If mine were more comfortable I'll probably wear them even more!

ReplyDeleteYou are rocking those Converse! I have the hardest time finding flat walking shoes that I like; Converse are just not comfortable to me.
