Hello Kitty Overload

Hello Kitty and I have known each other for a long time.
I remember having school stuff, such as pencils, notebooks,
stickers, t shirts - all Hello Kitty.
I also had My Melody and Little Twin Stars characters but,
after a while I only stuck with Hello Kitty.
I still do.
Unionbay jeans · Hello Kitty purple top (gift from mom) · Forever 21 Cardigan ·Liz Claiborne tote

My Hello Kitty stuff - believe it or not - are mostly gifts.
Gifts from friends, family and from my mom.

Hello Kitty Ring Avon (gift from mom) · Hello Kitty silver earrings (gift from aunt)

Hello Kitty reminds me of my childhood and brings
pleasant memories, so maybe that it why I continue
to have her around.

Shoes American Eagle Payless · Textile hair barrettes (Argentina)
As you see, today I am wearing a HK top, earrings and ring.
However it is just the tip of the iceberg, get ready for
what's below:
Hello Kitty overload !

This is a peek at my pijama drawer...

Silver earrings from Mexico, I call them Hola Kitty
More earrings, these are from Avon - another gift from mom
A silver and enamel pendant I also bought in Mexico
This is part of my purse content: MAC Hello Kitty powder
(I bought most of her MAC Collection),
Hello Kitty nail file  and hand cream from H&M,
key cap and lipgloss (gift from Patty)
HK lunch bag (from Patty) and jelly beans (from mom)...
The list continues.

Could I be addicted ?

Having a personal icon is fun. And it makes gift-giving from family and friends easier. :)

I'm too old to have adopted Hello Kitty as my icon. Instead, Betty Boop was mine. I have her on clothes, jewelry and even coffee mugs!

I think this is so cute! I used to be mad about Snoopy and Garfield, and now my kids have 'adopted' them... I still like children's characters, though, I'd wear a 'Charlie&Lola' earrings anytime!

P.S.: Any idea whether they're available at all?

too bad you are not in los angeles! i recently read about a hello kitty exhibition showing ALL THINGS HELLO KITTY. i think many that attended the opening dressed up as characters.

and with regards to your comment, i must have hair like you! hahahah! i used to curl it for an hour, and it basically looked the same. pouffing it up would NEVER work! oh well -- i think we are better off without that nonsense!

and NO i do not still have those atrocious and horribly unflattering jeans. THE HORROR. i need to remove those pics. so awful! ahahhahah

have a super weekend!

As a child I loved hello kitty, however I can't remember having so much hello kitty stuff. Barbie dolls were my thing. Oh and I love Spongebob now. :D
I'm glad funny tshirts for grown-ups were made so fashionable recently, because why not. :)
