Meet "La Señora"

I would like to introduce "la señora", Spanish for the lady or the madame.
She is of French origin, circa 1890 according to the print on her bottom.
She has lived in my living room for about 3 years now.
She was meant to be mine. I passed an antique and second hand stuff shop
and fell in love with her but, she was overpriced and falling apart.
I went again and she had been reduced, half price.
It was destiny, I put her on lay away and informed my H of her existence.
He did not want her in the house as her silhouette scared him.
I finished paying for her and brought her home.
Fumigated her, cleaned the wood and had a black cover made for her.
Yesterday, I realized that lately she has been used by me as a
place to hang stuff that I have either recently worn, recently
purchased or been gifted.
I have to admit she looks kind of messy.
SO this week my goal is to use all the stuff she has on.
Today I begin with this antiqued gold tone and brown suede ribbon necklace.
I have had it for over two years and worn it only once.
That time I wore it, someone asked me if I had been awarded something,
because it looked like a condecoration.
So this is how I will be putting my every day wear together !

La Señora is lovely! I have a dressform as well, Penelope, and she is usually found in a similar state of affair. I got her to help me with sewing - drafting patterns and such, but we haven't done too much of that in a long time...

I love the little bow purse, and I'd love to see how you style the 'stormy sea'.
